Y2K + 12 = 2012?: Remember the hype and panic over Y2K? Is 2012 similar? Chicken Little Redux?

The Lone Striker

The Lone Striker: This morning, in the cold 45° Autumn air, I saw a lone striker on the course practicing goals. You don't always need a match to strike...

The Three-Thought Clause

The Three-Thought Clause: Somedays I feel lucky if I can keep two thoughts in my head. Hugo: Three sir! MOLM: Three. Thanks Hugo.

About Hedonism

Today, we found an article on Science Daily that argues hedonism determines value. Is this the ultimate basis for human nature? We find it hard to agree. (Of course, if you look at our previous post, see what hedonism did for Paris Hilton...). Is that what life is all about? A few shekels?
Of course, the article makes persuasive arguments about values like frienship, family and so on...(nothing about Blogger or Twitter...).

Paris Hilton

God help us. Paris Hilton is now in the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations. (But don't bother checking the online version just yet...maybe there's still hope...).

Overrated

Did you ever have one of those days where felt lower than you ever thought possible, and you still felt you were overrating yourself?

Reality is an Illusion

Reality is an illusion. In that, when you consider the nature of phenomena - you're not really experiencing them directly. You are "experiencing" through vision which is transmitted to your mind, brain and body. What you "see" isn't the underlying reality of things - or the neumenon. It's "images" inside of you.

A Message (?)

Was it a message?...

That we received or perceived on this past Easter Sunday (of all days...)? Usually, around Easter, our chief editor always seems to experience some minor injury. He has always found this rather odd. This Easter Sunday he received an injury to the palm of his hand by accident. It somewhat resembled a stigmata (for lack of a better term...).

Was this some sort of message from the other side or from a higher reality? Or mere accident? At any rate, it made us contemplate on the possibility that it can reach through to our plane and pierce our skin and our consciousness, at the same time.

The Meaning of Life (2)

As You Grow Older...

Your experiences and relationships will change. Those that you know and love will cease to be. As you grow older, you will look forward to meeting with them again in the second life. That is, if you believe in a second life.

The Meaning of Life

The Meaning of Life...

Think about your mortality and your lifespan. If you are reading this, you are (most likely) mortal. Consider time's span outside of your life.

Search the meaning in this...if your lifespan is short compared to the span of all time, then it is about your being and experiencing this life that you have. That is the meaning of life.
